The Network range was designed to be a statement. Sleek new styles made in dynamic new fabric in exciting new colours. A celebration of where Crumpler has been and where we’re going.

And that is exactly what it is.

NEW SEASON. NEW STYLES


"The Network collection was designed to be an easy wear, for both genders, encapsulating the sporty but relaxed direction of the season.” The Crumpler design team explained when asked about the motivation behind the season. “The bag shapes are effortless, intuitive to use, designed to be painless when you are on the go either for everyday or travel use.”

The collection introduces six new styles for Crumpler fans to enjoy; The View multi-purpose laptop backpack, The View Mini simple backpack, The Opening Night laptop tote bag, The Notification Anxiety 15” laptop/folio sleeve, The Hot Spot hip bag; and The Pop-In utility pouch.

All six new shapes feature fabric and trim innovations that have never been used here at Crumpler. We have introduced a new fabric, the bonded nylon twill, which is a thick durable fabric but is softer and more collapsible than the core fabrics in the range. To give the product a new fashion feel, we trimmed the range with silicon branded webbing, metal zips and the new Eco-Tech Polyester which is our ethical answer to ‘leather’. And, to add an extra level of customisability, all six styles include a metal bag charm eyelet giving owners the option to hang any loveable characters on your bag.

A NOSTALGIC MOOD

The colour choices were driven by the nostalgic mood of the season. Fun, playful blues and oranges mix with softer pinks and a stark black to create a palette reminiscent of the sports luxe fashion movement of the 1970’s or the in-your-face paint job of a Gran Torino or Trans-am.

The work/life mantra of The Network range is no more evident than when you take a closer look at The Opening Night laptop tote bag. A bag that is just as suited to a day in the office as it is to a night on the town.

“The tote shape was something incredibly important that was missing from the range that we wanted to capture in a signature style.” The Crumpler design team admitted. “The best thing about The Opening Night tote bag is the added functionality inside of the tech compartment making it super easy to grab and go to work.”

CONTINUATION OF A THEME

The Network range has been brought in as part of the Reality Bites season story, an over-arching design vision inspired by the trends of the past and driven by the needs of today.

It’s fun and lively, filled with innovative designs in bright colours. The shapes are classic but filled with forward thinking and exciting features.

“The mood of Reality Bites was inspired by the juggling act we all perform every day. Facing down life’s challenges, working hard towards your goals while also spending time maintaining relationships with friends and family too. In trying to be a well-functioning adult in this fast-paced environment, you can’t shake the nagging nostalgia of an easier time in days gone by.”
