DO CRUMPLER BAGS COME WITH A WARRANTY?

Not just 'a' warranty, but the legendary Crumpler Lifetime Warranty.

If your Crumpler bag fails as a result of defective materials or workmanship under normal use while you: a) draw breath and b) remain the bag's owner, we'll repair or replace the part(s) in question – no questions asked. Just drop your bag off at a Crumpler Store or mail your bag to a Crumpler HQ, postage paid, together with your proof of purchase and a short note to explain the problem. We'll make it right and send it back to you ASAP.

If we reckon the fault occurred as a result of 'abnormal' usage – no offence intended – we'll contact you and obtain your approval to repair the bag at your expense.

CAN YOU REPAIR MY CRUMPLER?

If the damage falls under our world famous Crumpler 'Til Death Do Us Part' Warranty, then yes, absolutely. We'll even wear the repair cost.

If not, and you can't live without your loved one, send it to Crumpler HQ (address above) along with your details and a description of the problem, and we'll do our best. No promises, because not all damage can feasibly be repaired. Once we've done an assessment, we'll advise you if your bag is repairable, and the cost involved.

Orders are processed daily Monday to Friday at approximately 1pm and are shipped out the same day. Estimated timeframes for the arrival of your order are listed below.

IF I CHANGE MY MIND, CAN I CHANGE MY BAG OR RETURN IT?

Second thoughts? No dramas. Within 14 days of purchase you can exchange your bag for another Crumpler, or a credit note, providing your bag is unused, has the original tags attached and you provide your original receipt. If the Crumpler you now want costs less than your original choice, we'll give you a credit note for the difference. If you're exchanging an online purchase you are responsible for the return postage costs.

 

MY ORDER HASN'T ARRIVED – WHAT SHOULD I DO?

In an ideal world, we'd deliver your order personally – in giant Crumpler messenger bags.

While your order should arrive within the timeframe we specify for the shipping option you select, sometimes stuff happens. As a rule of thumb, wait an additional day then email us_enquiries@crumpler.com or phone us on 718-384-3020 with your order number, which you'll find on the confirmation email we sent you.

 

HOW DO I CLEAN MY BAG?

Spot clean exterior stains with lukewarm water and mild soap, then remove any soap residue with a damp cloth. For heavy soiling, lightly wipe with a damp cloth. Always dry in the shade. Never submerge your bag in water, unless you both want to smell mouldy. And don't ever let it be dry cleaned, tumble-dried, ironed, treated with harsh chemicals and detergents or scrubbed like a hospital floor. Doing so will trash the protective coating on its fabric – or worse.

 

WHERE CAN I GET MORE DETAILED INFORMATION ON ONE OF YOUR PRODUCTS?

These notes give detailed information about specific product features, including sizing, weight and storage capacity.

ARE YOU SURE MY LAPTOP WILL FIT IN THIS BAG?

Pretty much. But to be 100% certain, you might want come into a Crumpler Store. If that's geographically impossible, or you're too gen-whatever to venture beyond WiFi range, check the laptop sleeve measurements under the Sizing tab for each relevant product. They represent the dimensions of the largest device we reckon will fit comfortably.

 

HOW DO YOU MEASURE YOUR BAGS?

We reckon the most accurate way is to fill each bag first, then measure. Not Christmas dinner chock-a-block bloated, but enough to achieve its intended shape and true usable volume. Just remember Crumpler bags are not square boxes by and large, so our quoted measurements are generally taken at the widest point, within reason.

HOW DO I USE MY 3RD LEG?

Clip it under your arm, then adjust your strap lengths and shoulder pad position. Badabing! The bag is stable and your load is on your back right where it should be.

 

ARE THE BAG COLOURS ACCURATE IN THE PRODUCT PHOTOGRAPHY?

We do our bestest to ensure what you see is as close as possible to the true colour. But unless your computer monitor is calibrated identically to the systems used by our photographers, designers and web monkeys, what we know to be blue may appear on your monitor as cerulean. Or indigo. Or perhaps even teal.

WHAT IS BAR TAK?

Similar to buttonhole stitching, Bar Tack is a short, highly dense burst of zigzag stitches that maximises the load bearing of a fabric seam or join.

 

WHAT IS RIP STOP?

It's a nylon fabric crosshatched with thick reinforcement threads at regular intervals. The lining of Crumpler bags is most often either 300D and 600D Rip Stop, which are both super strong, lightweight, durable and resistant to fraying, tearing and ripping.

No chance. Personal information collected on this site is treated as confidential and is protected by the Privacy Act 1988. HOW DO I AVOID BUYING A FAKE CRUMPLER?

Easy. The Crumpler products we sell at crumpler.com are available only at authorised dealers, retailers and etailers listed under Find a Store. Shop at one of these stores or sites and you get the genuine article, complete with Crumpler's legendary warranty. Shop anywhere else – even if you see our logo, product names, product descriptions and product images – and you risk buying a fake. If in doubt, contact us — we know exactly where our products go.

 

HOW DO I SPOT A FAKE CRUMPLER?

If you've handled a Crumpler, you'll know when you're dealing with the real thing. Otherwise, remember these two words – quality and workmanship. Fakes skimp on the first, and cut corners on the second. So while genuine Crumpler's look and feel like they'll outlast our legendary warranty, phonies will likely carry one or more tell tale signs:

1. loose threads and obvious stitching faults

2. inconsistent colour

3. stress whitening on moulded plastics

4. inferior, non water-resistant outer and lining materials

5. different colour options to those at crumpler.com

6. different or misspelt product names to those at crumpler.com
