Featuring Dan Sultan, Emma Donovan, Stephen Pigram, Lou Bennett, Djolpa McKenzie, Dewayne Everettsmith, Deline Briscoe, William Barton, Mark Atkins, Shane Howard and Trevor Jamieson.

First presented to sold out audiences as part of the 2009 Melbourne Festival, dirtsong returns to Melbourne for two shows only – do not miss this!

Inspired by the words of Miles Franklin Award winner Alexis Wright (Carpentaria), dirtsong is a powerful musical journey through Australia’s cultural heart and features beautiful film imagery and songs performed in 11 different Aboriginal languages.

Introduced by Gail Mabo, this very special performance will honour the 20th anniversary of the High Court’s historic Mabo decision.

The Black Arm Band has recently returned from London and Wales performing as part of the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad and are thrilled to announce the company’s American debut in New York in early 2013.

‘Potent and all consuming. This is music to send shudders down your spine and bring tears to your eyes.’ – The Age
