Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Travel Bag and Carry On I bought the green version bag for a trip to Latvia and loved it. It spent almost 40 hours on a plane for that trip, as well as several cross country flights, and it worked perfectly without showing any wear.  The bag is more of a traditional "top-loader" backpacking style bag, that is separated by a draw string flap in the middle so you can use an upper and lower compartments that have separate accesses. I have found that it works best for your carry-ons, top part: a jacked or hoody (something bulky and stuffable), bottom part: electronics,head-phones, books, etc. The laptop sleeve works very well and is comfortable if worn all day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome update, totally waterproof Bought my blue baby on a trip to New York just as my old Crumpler just didn't satisfy my daily commuting needs. Enter the Commuter Bag. I love the water bottle pouches on either sides (pretty handy for tobacco too) and the splittable inside. I use the bottom half for books and electronics and the top for clothing. It's great for large books too — just open the inside sections up and let the book stand up! I'm hardly ever without the bag. Can't wait to use it so much more (despite my complaining back; I overload it).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the Design! I bought this in orange. Loved it. The material is water resistant, however it can get quite unpractical because of the organization and layout. Well.. other than that if you're looking to load and stuff bulky things (a thick hoodie or jumper) with ease this is the way to go.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from rain water got in main compartment I have 4 crumpler bags. I bought this one last week at the Crumpler store on Spring Street, Manhattan. Today I got caught in a heavy rain - I whipped out my little umbrella and although I stayed pretty dry, the backpack stuck out in the rain. The compartment where I keep my tablet remained dry, but the main compartment had a lot of water at the bottom and got my documents wet. The outside material, I noticed, is a bit different than my other Crumpler bags. I don't believe it is a fake because I bought it at an official store.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very versatile bag I bought this 1.5 months ago and have mainly used it as an office commuter bag. I've had a few overnight work trips taking only this bag and it has work brilliantly. The bag is exteremely light and can take on a lot of stuff. The inner pocket in the bottom section holds much more that you expect. When fully loaded, the straps remain very comfortable, and there's a sternum strap to aid with carrying really heavy loads. To give you an idea of what I could carry, I had toiletries/change of clothes/ paperwork in the top compartment and I had a camera/laptop power pack/cables/mouse in the bottom comparment. My 12" Dell fitted with room to spare in the laptop pocket. The secret to keeping things organised in the bottom compartment is to pack cables, mouse, power pack etc in separate zipped cases - I never had a problem accessing what I needed quickly using this system. I recently used this on a 9 day holiday in Singapore as a travel bag and it worked exceptionally well. Wit a medium Haven in the bottom section, I used it as a camera backpack for my m4/3 system. The Panasonic G5 w kit pancake zoom, 45-150 zoom, 2 prime lenses, battery and remote all fitted with room to spare. Plenty of room for snacks, 7" tablet and oddments in the top compartment. The ventilated back worked really well in hot humid weather - best of any backpack I've used. My only improvement suggestion is to include an external zipped pocket for easy access to boarding passes/passports when transiting through airports. Otherwise highly recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for interstate... I regularly take a 5 hour train to Melbourne. This is perfect because I can fit the cloths in for 3 days, food on top, keys and stuff in the back of the hood, and computer in the back. Everything is at hand and it has made the rail journey that bit more comfortable. Helps that it looks good too.
