Solid piece of luggage

By Anna

I have had my Dry Red for over a year now. I have checked it in, carried it on, dragged it across cobblestones, on and off boats and trains, rolled it considerably distances along footpaths. I have used it for short domestic trips and longer stints (like two weeks in Europe). It has held up really well - no tears, no problems with the zips, no problems with the wheels, and the fabric looks almost new (honestly, they should have got me to do the tv ad, I practically do that sort of thing for real!). It is slightly scraped on the plastic around the wheels (unsurprisingly, but I do wonder if a slightly harder plastic could have worked). I find the front pocket is not great for my laptop (which is a bit older and so chunkier than the slim new ones) and you would want it to be in a neoprene slip or similar for padding. Also while the main section has two zips that can be locked together, the front pocket only has one that you can lock to a somewhat flimsy looking ring - I would have preferred a stronger one. Also, when the bag is heavily loaded, the telescopic action of the handle is not so smooth. But all in all, it is one tough bag that shows very little signs of wear after over a year of heavy use (around 100 days travel in total, with at least 50 flight sectors and 15 train trips and kilometers of footpath wheeling. Definitely worth it.

Best bag ever!

Have travelled with this bag both overseas and interstate in the last two months and it's a dream to travel with. It manouevres easily on its wheels, it is easy to lift and carry (weight was about 8 kg packed) and it holds a lot, especially if clothes are rolled. It is expensive, but it is really sturdily made and will outlast the other cases that didn't survive the treatment given by baggage handlers. This one will be carry on luggage for me from now on, no more checking in.
